Annual Intermediate/Advanced Course for compliance professionals with special focus on the NRA 2025 and Sanctions

Aimed at Compliance Officers, MLROs and Risk Managers already operating in the field, this course will open with an address from the National Coordinator, Annette Perales, providing insights into the recently published Gibraltar National Risk Assessment. Participants will then explore how to translate the NRA findings into practical workflows, policies and procedures, embedding them effectively into their firms. The session will also provide updates on current and forthcoming developments in AML, CFT, CPF and International Sanctions Compliance.

Afternoon session from 1:30pm to 4:30pm (Registration opens at 1:15pm - session will have a mid-afternoon coffee and biscuits break)

The course will be delivered by David Parody, widely recognised within Gibraltar’s professional community for expertise in AML and regulatory compliance.

Annette, the National Coordinator Delegate, will be opening the training. With 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Annette specializes in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and regulatory compliance across banking, insurance, investment firms, and virtual asset services. She has led transformational projects, including revamping authorization processes to improve efficiency and aligning Gibraltar’s AML/CFT frameworks with international standards.
Annette has extensive knowledge of FATF Standards and has contributed to initiatives led by the Council of Europe. She advises on AML/CFT strategies, navigates complex regulatory landscapes, and collaborates on global compliance initiatives with a focus on integrity and excellence.
