Beyond the Data: Turning Intelligence Reports into Actionable Compliance Wisdom

GACO is pleased to invite members and industry professionals to an exclusive in-person technical session hosted in collaboration with Sqope Intelligence.
In today’s regulatory environment, having data is not the same as having insight. As financial institutions in Gibraltar face increasingly complex ownership structures and UHNW client profiles, the ability to transform intelligence into defensible compliance decisions is paramount.
We are delighted to welcome Nadia Ait Ziani, Director of UK & Channel Islands at Sqope Intelligence, to lead this session. With over 15 years of experience at the forefront of risk management—including senior roles at SWIFT and Thomson Reuters—Nadia brings a wealth of international expertise in KYC standards, ESG reputational due diligence, and compliance advisory.
Why Attend? This session will go "beyond the data" to explore how intelligence-led Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), Source of Wealth (SOW), and Company Intelligence Reports (CIR) can be utilised to support efficient onboarding and robust risk-based client acceptance.
Drawing on Sqope’s 16-year legacy of supporting over 350 global institutions (including the mature Swiss private banking sector), the presentation will cover:
- Navigating Complexity: Strategies for UHNW/HNW clients and high-risk jurisdictions.
- The "Defensible" Onboarding: How to move from tick-box compliance to proactive risk mitigation.
- Hidden Risks: Identifying third-party and counterparty risks within family offices and offshore corporate structures.
- Actionable Wisdom: Practical advice on interpreting intelligence to meet FATF and local regulatory expectations.
