GACO in conjunction with HAT Group of Accountants is very happy to organise this Evening Seminar on the subject of better understanding your obligations in terms of accounting and disclosure requirements for Gibraltar Companies.

During said seminar Andrew Jarvis will cover topics such as: Amendments to Companies Act 2014, Financial Reporting options which exist in Gibraltar, Structure of Financial Statements under Gibraltar FRS 102, Areas where measurement differs under Gibraltar FRS 102 compared to old Gibraltar GAAP, Confirmation of amendments to Gibraltar FRS 102 following finalisation of “FRED 67”, Required and/or Recommended disclosures in financial statements of small companies.

Andrew Jarvis BSc FCA

Training Director

Andrew’s varied role includes responsibility for HAT’s paperless audit and non-audit Manuals in Caseware AuditAdvanced as well as leading much of HAT’s Career Development Course programme for trainees. Andrew offers support to HAT member firms through presenting technical updates and conducting quality control file reviews including those for high risk and listed entities.

Andrew is also responsible for many of HAT’s specialist Manuals, including areas such as pension schemes and antimoney laundering procedures.

For the last four years, Andrew has been visiting Gibraltar annually to provide tailored updates for audit firms here. Andrew graduated from the University of Warwick in 2000 with a degree in Accounting and Finance. He trained with a HAT member firm, which by the time he qualified was part of a top-ten firm, which is now RSM UK. As part of their London audit team, Andrew worked on a wide variety of clients including those in the construction and insurance sectors before taking responsibility for some of the firm’s software and related training. Andrew joined HAT in July 2005. Andrew's hobbies include spending time with his young family, DIY and visiting places of interest.
